Jan Mráček & Lubomír Brabec – St. John’s Music Festival 2026

Under the direction of Jan Mráček, the outstanding Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, composed of leading players from the Czech Philharmonic, will perform at the St. John’s Music Festival in Kladruby. The concert will also feature the famous Adagio from Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez for guitar and orchestra, performed by Lubomír Brabec.

Opening Concert of the 100th Anniversary of the SOČR

One hundred seasons, one evening, thousands of stories – the Symphony Orchestra of Czech Radio ceremoniously enters its anniversary season. The new chief conductor Elias Grandy revives the program of the orchestra’s very first concert, originally performed by the Radiojournal Orchestra. The evening opens with the overture to *The Bartered Bride* by Bedřich Smetana, followed by two lyrical Romances for violin and orchestra by Ludwig van Beethoven, performed with masterful artistry by the virtuoso Jan Mráček. This will be followed by an enchanting selection from Antonín Dvořák’s *Legends*. The celebration culminates in the monumental Symphony No. 2 by Zdeněk Fibich.

Lobkowicz Trio - Průhonice Castle

The final concert of the festival Castle Music Meetings performed by the Lobkowicz Trio (Jan Mráček – violin, Ivan Vokáč – cello, Lukáš Klánský – piano) will take place on 21 June at 17:00. The repertoire will consist of Suk and Dvořák.

Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Daniel Raiskin

This same warm Slavic spirit infuses Dvořák’s beloved Violin Concerto, also steeped in the colors and rhythms of Czech folk music. It is performed by Jan Mráček, Czech Philharmonic concertmaster, who global press compares to renowned names such as Itzhak Perlman and Joshua Bell.

Znojmo - Two Masters, One Stage

Czech Philharmonic, Semyon Bychkov, April 8th-10th

This time, chief conductor Semyon Bychkov has decided for an unsurprising but purely dramatic programming arch. We will hear concertos by Antonín Dvořák and Johannes Brahms, artistic colleagues and friends for many years. Czech Philharmonic concertmaster Jan Mráček will play Dvořák’s Violin Concerto, and at the piano in Brahms will be seven-time Grammy Award winner Emanuel Ax.

Czech Philharmonic, 130th Anniversary Celebration Concert, April 1st-2nd

Join us on a journey through time to celebrate 130 years of the Czech Philharmonic. The evening’s programme will blend rare archival recordings with live music conducted by Chief Conductor Semyon Bychkov. On a large screen, video footage and photographs will come to life, telling the story of the Czech Republic's leading orchestra in a dialogue with the present moment.
